Almost died today.

Was outside working on my Trans Am, when a storm came rumbling in. I started putting stuff back, and then a bolt of lightning came out of nowhere and struck about 5 feet away from me.

There was so much static electricity in the air that a spark arced from my hand to the metal of the car 4 feet away. My whole left arm was numb for about 30 minutes afterwords.

Thankfully i didn't crap myself.

You know ever time I have a close call with the grim reaper.. I feel like running over to the misses and puck like there was no tomorrow.. unfortunately I have no misses... 🙁

Why doesn't cool sh1t like this ever happen to me? 🙁

Oh.. right. May have something to do with the fact that I don't go outside.

Later..

Do you call your Trans Am the "Red Dragon" and is it street legal?

It's street legal, and no, it's not the red dragon. It's the Angry Dragon. lol
It's still awaiting Vortec heads and vortec TPI intake.

Did you yell out, "LIGHTNING BOLT! LIGHTNING BOLT! LIGHTNING BOLT!" 😀

LMAO!!!

in all seriousness: what did the lightning bolt look like?

All i saw was a bright flash and i heard a crack of thunder at the same time.

This isn't my 1st run in with lightning. I was in my old car a few years ago when the antenna of the car was hit. Messed up all the elctrical systems in the car.

If he had been looking at the lightning bolt he would have probably been blinded for a few seconds. They're bright. I had the dubious pleasure of watching one strike outside my house, fortunately through a sliding glass door. Somehow it didn't knock out the power, but the noise was incredibly loud. It looked as though the entire world outside had turned white for a few seconds, and I had one helluva after image there. The cats didn't like it at all; they all went and hid under the furniture for about 3 hours.
