Is there anyone with any experience with a Casio G-Shock Tough Solar?
I think mine is almost dead.
It was working this morning until 6:32AM, then it suddenly shutdown itself and the charge light just keeps flashing.
I have placed the watch on my desk under the regular office flouroscent light for 8 hours straight and it still hasn't turned back on.
I even bought a flashlight and aimed the light at it until the battery ran out (approximately two hours) and it still doesn't work.
The instruction manual says 15 minutes of light should be plenty to recharge. Unfortunately that does not seem to be the case here.
Actually this isn't the first time I had problems with this watch.
Except the last time something like this occured was fixed by a half hour sun bath and maybe another three hours under a lamp.
If I remember correctly, I have never been able to fully recharge the battery meter ever since I got the watch for approximately a year. After that I could only get it to charge to the medium level even if I put it under a lamp all day.
I guess this turns out that "Tough Solar" is not as tough as it sounds.
To make matters worse, I bought the watch in Seattle, and I currently work in Shanghai, thus I have no clue where is my warranty card. Hope I don't get charged a fortune when I go to the local dealer.
