Alltel HTC Touch Diamond by End of Month!

Went into Alltel today to see what they had since I can upgrade my phone Tuesday and was looking at the HTC Touch. I asked the Rep about it and he said I can go ahead and get the touch and I have 30 days to try it out and stuff but then he told me the HTC Touch Diamond is coming before the end of this month. They Already have casses and stuff out for it so shouldn't be too much longer

Ohh yea he didnt have any information on the pricing yet.

My friend got the HTC Diamond thru Sprint about 2 weeks ago. One of the very first in the U.S .to get it. The first one was defective, the replacement is awesome!

Touch pro is also due mid november. Ill be upgrading my 6800 to this. Also, there is now a Gadgets, Gear, and phones forum for threads such as this.

If you have the HTC Touch, you can flash it with custom firmware that's based on the Diamond. It completely changed my Touch, and made it soooo much better. Not to mention that you can enable the factory disabled GPS on it. PM me if you want more info.

i got my htc diamond thru sprint about 2 weeks ago .... this is the best phone i've ever paid a lot of money for.

one of these days i'll unlock it so i can put another rom image on it.

Though it wont have the same style touchflo (will still have the old touchflo), Alltel and HTC have put out the official WM 6.1 rom for the Touch that also enables the gps without additional software or hacks needed. They also released the official 6800 WM 6.1 upgrade as well. So far, battery life seems better with heavy use and I really like the threaded text messaging.

How much was the Diamond? Was it with a contract?

I got a Diamond from Sprint a few weeks ago too. It's $350 with a contract minus $100 rebate = $250.

Alltel has on there website for preorder now. $250 with a free bluetooth headset and car charger, not a bad deal at all.
