"Allow Popups From" list in IE7

Been having some hardware problems lately, so I've had to reload everything twice in the past week. As I use IE7, I get the "Popup blocked, do you want to allow?" message.

After visiting the two dozen or so sites I frequent, I've saved them as "Always allow popups from XYZsite."

This list must be kept somewhere; so where and how do I export/import it?

Thanks!

From searching it looks like they are under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\New Windows\Allow
Each one is a REG_BINARY with no data, the key name itself is the list entry.

You should be able to import/export they reg branch to do what you want 🙂

Thanks much, Bill. I knew they had to be SOMEWHERE, but danged if I could find them in IE itself.

Much appreciated.

Its kinda silly the cookie editor has an import and this editor doesn't... I didnt look at IE8 yet to see if they cleaned any of that up.

That's EXACTLY what I said too! "Okay, can import Favorites and Cookies....but where the hell is the popup importer?" And that began my "click everything and then some" search.

Importing cookies is basically useless anyway as they expire and site layouts/fields change. Site-level settings seem much more useful to me.

Heh, what if IE8's only new feature is "Popup Allow Importer?"
