I'd like the option to be able to ignore moderators when they post in a thread like a regular user.

I can understand why you can't, but I don't think I should be forced to read a moderators regular posts (non-mod related) if I think they're a massive troll or a jackass or something.

I searched and didn't find anything with regards to this topic in the suggestion box, so I hope it's not a request repost.

Ive asked for this many times. It wont happen. And dont let then use the excuse it cant be done . Ive seen it on other forums with VB.

They can't be ignored by name? If not, I can't see it happening as you might miss a warning from a mod and be banned because of it.

However, as Olds indicated; ignoring posts from Moderators may be detrimental to ones posting abilities.

Care to mention which forum has this "feature?"

AFAIK, it's not a standard part of the vBulletin software (at least, I haven't seen it in the menus.) So, if it's done elsewhere, it must be some sort of add-on that someone else wrote for vBulletin. I believe the answer to adding on extra software that hasn't been thoroughly tested is "no."

I disagree about the posting of warnings. Those should still come to your PM box. But I'm speaking of Mod's posting in a non-mod type fashion.

I wonder if there couldn't be something done where a mod could check a 'This is a mod post' button that overrides users ignore settings...

As far as I know, there's no such setting in vBulletin.
