I saw something on tv that indicated gators only close their jaws (quickly, I might add) if they feel something hit their tongue... so you could put your head in there and they wouldn't clamp down on you - they do this at carnivals/shows for entertainment. The one dude they showed accidentally had sweat fall from his head while he was performing this trick and he got locked in the gator's jaw... he came away relatively unscathed though. I'm thinking this dude who tried to feed the gator was a bit slow in retracting his arm.

I guess he's retarded in more ways than one.
