Looking to get a new power supply from newegg. They have an Allied 400W for $33.99 and a Thermaltake Silent PurePower, 360W for $37.99

Has anyone bought either one before? I am looking for a solid PSU that is quiet and below $45 shipped.

In that price range, I'd go for the Sparkle 350 watter for $38. + $6 shipping or the Heroichi 350 watter for $44 + free shipping. Those are the 2 best brands I see being sold at newegg for under $45 and 350-watt and up.

I've owned two different enermax PSUs in the past. I actually thought they were kinda loud. I have a Sparkle 300W right now that is pretty quiet but my SkyHawk with a panaflo is quieter. Just got a 845PE mobo with a 2.4B and a Gig of Crucial PC2700 so I figured it was time to get some more juice...but I spent all my pennies on the above. Ha!

I have a 350 watt allied psu and I've been pretty happy with it. Its running a 1.2 tbird at 1.33, not really pushing the envelope but its performing fine for a $35 unit.

Don't get allied. They are rebadged Deer power supplies and have a very high chance of going BOOM and taking your entire system along for the ride.
