Allergies

I never really had allergies until this spring. They're kicking my butt. Zyrtec isn't really doing the trick... I think there was enough pollen in my neighborhood that I could draw stuff in it.

Any other new sufferers of allergies this year? Also, has anyone tried the local honey trick?

Even if there is some truth to the local honey thing, it would take a long time for it to work. It isn't a fast acting drug like an antihistimine. It would work by slowly building your bodies immunity to local allergens over the course over several years.

Mine have been worse than normal. I was working outside this weekend and actually ended up with hives on my neck just from the shit floating in the air. A lot of people I know have had asthma flair ups much worse than a typical late spring/early summer as well.

I also was working out side all weekend. And now, as of yesterday and today, I don't think I've felt this awful since I had a cold last winter. This shit really sucks. I never knew how bad allergies were.

First time with allergies here, too. Once or twice a day my eyes get super irritated for around 5 minutes, then it goes away. I've also had constant post-nasal drip since early March.

My optometrist said she's seeing eye irritation all over the place this year. It's bad.

New England, here.
