This is a good read, about a great new array being built. More better data for SETI searches & more:

The Allen array is awesome. I'm sure it is one of many reasons for the expansion to SETI II. It is a farm of small dishes linked via what else, Computer Technology that makes the equivalent of a giant dish plus you can do so much more with it as far as picking up multiple signals at one time. Our ears are certainly getting bigger.
