Sorry, people who weren't Hornets fans probably wouldn't get it. Someone like UNCjigga would probably think it's funny. ;)

First it was Pierce with 40 then Dirk with 46 and McGrady with 43 so Allen just wanted to prove who was the best and he did. Screw the Lakers. They are like the Yankees "Money buy's championships".

You're off by 1 for all your stats except Iversons.

I doubt Iverson and McGrady can keep it up. They're just going to be swarmed next game to stop this from happening again. At least Shaq and Kobe have each other.

So, you think the other teams go into a game thinking, "Sure Iverson is good, but I don't think he'd ever put in more than 15. We really don't need to devote much coverage to him. Now Snow, that's a PTP, play with 6 men just to keep him covered!"

What are you talking about??? Laker management are tight wads when it comes to spending money. They pay for Shaq and Kobe by cutting everyone elses pay. People like Madsen are getting paid league minimum.

If money buys championships then how come the Kings haven't won one yet? Or the Dallas Mavericks? They're the two teams way over the cap in the league.

What? Your post gives me a headache.

I mean, teams in the playoffs will make adjustments. They'll obviously put more attention into stopping Iverson and McGrady next game. Of course, neither of the respective teams have anybody to matchup well against the 2 superstars so they'll swarm them with defense and gamble, leaving someone open.

Iverson had an amazing game. He shot 65% but more importantly he had 8 assists.
He got his team involved and didn't take stupid shots, that is all you can ask from him.

which team in the league has the highest payroll??

I believe it's Portland, i could be wrong but if they aren't the highest they are definitely higher than the lakers.

I've always rooted for AI. He is the man and he carried his team to the finals the last time.

AHAHAHA. Before you talk out of your @ss even more, please take a look at NBA Team payrolls. I'll spare you and your ignorance for now.

Payrolls aren't the only thing. What about the signing bonuses?

59. How about signing bonuses? Are they allowed? How do they count against the cap?
Teams are allowed to offer the players they sign a bonus worth as much as 25% of the total compensation, and may do so whether or not the team is over the cap.

Are you still trying to compare the Lakers and Yankees? Portland has a payroll of $104 million compared to Lakers' $61 million. 'Nuff said.
