GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip – Claims by the son of a Hamas founder Wednesday that he was a long-term spy for Israel exposed a new side of the Islamic militant group's vulnerability and punched a hole in its meticulously groomed image of secrecy and discipline.

The spy affair comes at a time when Hamas is still reeling from suspicions that Hamas informants helped Israel assassinate a top Hamas operative in a Dubai hotel. The back-to-back scandals were sure to leave Hamas leaders fearful of their own and ever more painfully aware of how capable Israel is of reaching the inner circles of their organization.

There is more.... http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100224/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_israel_hamas_spy

A lot of Palestinians have been killed because of Israel's extremely aggressive recruitment of spies, as a powerful, wealthy nation infiltrating a weak and poor group - some who did spy, some who didn't.

Of course it's all 'hehehehe!!!!' for Jedi.

But he assures us no harm will come to the son here, so it's all no problem.

yeah, god forbid israel recruit spies in a time of war...it's not like other countries do such despicable , amoral things.

not news palestinians offing each other.

between 1st and 2nd intifada over 1,600 palestinians were killed by other palestinians.

If you read the article, it states that the son moved to California in 2007, and that his memoir is being published next week in the US. Beheading? I doubt it.

Furthermore, according to the article, the intel he provided to Israel prevented several suicide bombings and saved hundreds of Israeli lives, not to mention no doubt saving the lives of Palestinians who would have died as a result of Israeli retaliation. It also says he converted to Christianity and was opposed to Hamas and its terrorist activities.

Things are much simpler when you read the articles linked in the OP.

Just imagine how much better the world would be if we had given the Jews West Texas instead of Palestine.
