Alleged Mall Gunman Had Columbine Interest

The sensationalist media is partly to blame. Maybe if they didn't give each and every kook their 1 hour and 15 minutes of fame, those kooks wouldn't try to copy the other big stories.

The news has turned into cheap entertainment. Sensationalism sells.

I agree 100%.

Yup, that's why I can't watch the news anymore...especially local news. Just see how they sensationalize a cat stuck in a tree.

OT: Columbine was so sad. One of my friends quit being a paramedic after that day. Apparently they all thought they were driving into just a usual slip and fall, or kid passed out, or whatever....something mundane in comparison. She said that after treating the kids at columbine and personally seeing the massacre (especially the library, she was one of the first to walk into it) she simply couldn't do the job anymore....and she'd been a medic for quite some time, and has told me some fvcked up scary stories.
