In Flames, Trivium, Devil Driver, and Zao are going to be on tour for the next few months.... should be a sick show. I got tickets for Feb 26th @ House of Blues in Orlando. If you haven't heard them.... you know the drill 😉 BTW, if you are going to the same show I got tickets for let me know.

New metal sucks, it's impossible to decipher what they're saying, it's just "RUH RUH RUHHHHHHH RUH RUHRUH!!!!"... and why? Do they feel cool for "singing" that way? Or are they just trying to mask a lack of talent? The few lyrics you can make out are generally teen angsty.

Trivium is ok. The only death metal worth listening to is Opeth.

I'm more of a speed/thrash/heavy metal kinda person.

All of Whoracle, Lunar Strain, and Jester Race.

If you haven't listened to Devildriver - The Fury of Our Makers Hand, you need to. It is by far my favorite metal album of the last few years.

I'm not a death metal fan, I just poked my head in here because this thread is about music. But that's pretty close-minded thing to say. There will always be a new artist, or group of artists that you will find worth listening to. If not, then you have stopped appreciating music.

I don't think I would buy a death metal album. But if I had the chance to see some live, I would definitely go.

Carry on.

Zao is one of my favorite bands... I hope to god they don't cancel again. I was supposed to see them with Unearth a few months ago and they backed out...

I'm not too fond of DevilDriver; sounds too much like nu-metal from what I've heard, but In Flames (their older stuff anyway) and Trivium are pretty good.

I don't think so. My old roommate is a total metalhead, so I've had a lot of exposure to his collection of progressive death, doom, and black metal. The only band that stuck out was Opeth. A majority of it sounds the same and is not that great.

If i'm really bored, i'll listen to Arch Enemy, Children of Bodom, or Soilwork; however, I'd much rather jam to Megadeth, Iced Earth, or Black Label Society.

I borrowed Reroute to Remain from my buddy. I've heard them before but never listened to the full CD. It's not that bad. I may have check out more of their albums...
