Simlates early mosaic browser, hot java browser, netscape 1.0, internet explorer (early version), Lynx, and the venerable line mode browser. . .

I remember dial-up BBS's episodic, if you're gonna post about history, get it right! 😛

LOL, I use to be a member of a bbs locally that was a commodore 64 user group - good times with my top of the line 1200 baud modem. . .

rofl, i remember having to type in http:// for all websites then one day, about 9 years ago, a friend said "you know you dont have to type in http or www. right?" i was 9 at the time. i was dumbounded.

I remember going from NCSA Mosaic to Netscape to IE

Back in the day Netscape v1.1 would fit on a single 1.44MB floppy.

nah, that's way too fast 😉

I used to keep a book on my desk so I'd have something to read while waiting for websites to load. lol.

holy sh*t.. i remember ALL OF THAT.

I am the grand daddy of the internet age.. i was doing ftp searching and gopher well before all other things. I used to use lynx a lot due to speed it had over downloading images, but when i started downloading faster (2-3kb/s max speed) i went to netscape and all. God i remember those days.

hard to believe it was 14 years ago that i got on with Netscape 1.0.. how old was i? well i was 10 when i first got on to the web.

ah, the good old days.

before Geocities got bought by Yahoo and used to host a ton of free porn sites. lol.

the only thing longer than a web search was the 10 minute start-up time on my desktop. heh.

I just installed NT4 on the P233 and it came with IE2. I uipgraded it to IE6 as Firefox doesn't run on NT4.

On the bright side, the system is running pretty damn fast for a P233.

Takes 3 to 4 seconds to load Office XP apps 🙂
