All you ever wanted to know about Chocolate! (And MORE)

Dairy Products and Antioxidants
Cacao and dark chocolate boost antioxidants; however, the addition of dairy products/milk cancels out the effects of antioxidants. Studies indicate that dairy products specifically block the absorption of all the great antioxidants in chocolate!

Wow, I did not know that.

New York Chocolate Show

if you like chocolate, come here!

i've gone every year for the past 3 years.

it's a consumer event, so that means lots of free samples and cooking demos by pastry chefs from some of NYC's nicest restaurants and patisseries. Food Network people also come to cook.

Jacques Torres is there every year and he always does an amazing chocolate demo. he's also the nicest guy in the world

Chocolate in bulk (> 2 lbs or so) will cause the most horrific gas you've ever experienced in your life. Makes the results of a few protein shakes smell like cookies baking in comparison :Q Never get stoned with a lot of chocolate around...

I go every year too. The crowds are nasty - people push you out of the way to get to the free samples. A bit of patience helps.

And the cooking demos are awesome.
