All videos that I import into Adobe Premier are flipped 180 degrees and are mirror images

I can apply effects to fix it, but all the imported videos are flipped 180 degrees at first and are mirrored. Is there a way to stop this from happening upon importing them? Thanks.

Never heard of that happening before.. what kind of video clips are you trying to import? What version of Premiere? (and this prob. isn't the right forum).

I usually just transfer video from my HDV camera...don't have any of these problems..
(you may want to try the forums at www.adobe.com instead)..

Yeah, I will. BTW, does this belong in Software then? Thanks for the advice. I think that the files I try to import are AVIs and I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 3.

Maybe ffdshow is decoding them, in which case ffdshow has options to flip the image if you look deep enough in the 'compatibility' or deep down options.
