83wpm here :)

Took me quite a while to get past 60 something - but I've been practicing for quite a while. . .

I always around 80 - 100 wpm, but sometimes things get slow because thinking takes slightly longer than typing. And no I'm not retarded.

You also type faster if you're typing your own thoughts, since you already know what you want to type and don't need to read it first. It's like a quick cd copy (without copying files onto your hard drive first) ;)

I'm above 100 wpm with my old qwerty keyboad, but I am in the process of learning dvorak on a non-mechanical keyboard. After 2 days of light use, I am getting 18 wpm with it.

While we are on the subject, can anyone recommend a good touch typing tutor program to help my transition? Thanks.

About 80wpm on this $5 POS keyboard I have at home, but closer to 95 at work with the Microsoft Natural Keyboard.

Wow, 11 years of intense piano lessons and I'm still getting my ass thrown around on the playground. What's the secret??

I'm almost always in the 90-110 range, whether I'm transcribing or forming the sentences myself.

Does this make you 4x as 1337 or what? Just have the mods take away 3000 posts. :p

I get about 75 WPM diving right into those texts on typingtest.com et al. without really reading them beforehand. Only 4 years of piano lessons so far for me, and since I'm in high school I still hand-write most things.
