Which is exactly what they wanted.....IMHO the main reason they were not interested in a totally viable compromise (such as legally changing it for everyone gay and straight to union), they wanted to give the system the finger...oh well we will see how long it lasts. But then again anything that will put an end to those parades is always welcome.

Thing is, all of those marriage licenses are already invalid. The mayor doesn't have the authority to hand out licenses. That only comes from the State.
