all those annoying ads on ICQ?

anyone noticed that ICQ has soo many banner ads everywhere now?
like in sending messages, files, urls, contacts.

there's even the "new ICQ SMS" ad icon on top of the panel now? this is getting pretty annoying!!!

btw, does AIM have ads? cuz I might wanna start switching soon...

it just has one ad on the buddy window. no ads on the message screen or file sending..at least i never noticed. but yeah, i used to use icq but it's just easier using aim now. i only use it when i have to.

i've never used icq but aim doesn't have any ads.

I've noticed the ads on ICQ messages too. AIM does have ads, but it's not on the message windows, it's on around the 'buddy list' area. I've gotten use to these since they're not that big in size...

Someone has already hacked ICQ to remove the ads, but i don't use it enough to care, i only use it occasionaly to transfer files to other ppl

hmmm.. maybe I'll try AIM this summer...
meanwhile, I'm not clicking on ANY ad!!!
