Have you ever seen an asian HEAD Coach?? have you ever seen an Asian pro athlete?? I guarantee you there are more asian pro atheletes than there are asian pro coaches. Why is that??

If teams HAVE to Interview minority candidates, why is it only Black minority candidates that must be interviewed, Why not Hispanic coaching candidates, Indian coaching candidates, Asian coaching candidates??

I don't get it. I think the NCAAP is the most RACIST organization out there.

What?! I thought you were black having an avatar of a black man and all.

So what, just because someone is black doesn't mean they have to fit some kind of stereotype.

NCAA you mean? or you could blame the right people which is the administration of the universities, over whom the NCAA has little control in their employment selections.

no, i think i meant NAACP but you could take it for NCAA also. 🙂

Generally a prerequisite for being a football coach is that you've played the game. This rules out 100% of all Asians. Well, that guy in Dallas but I think he's 50/50.

WRONG

many coaches have never played beyond the college level. expecially in basketball. do you really think Mike Fratello ever played Pro ball??

There are many asians that play sports on the high school and college levels.

Being the backup kick holder at Southwest Idaho State doesn't count. And I never said played at the pro level.

I think most Asians could care less. If once meakes it through the system, great. If not, oh well...

I find it absurd about NFL black coaches HAVE to get an interview no matter what.

Exactly

the particular scenario is Denny Green. Does anyone think he deserves the same kind of consideration as Steve Marriuci or Tuna??

Yes. He had what, one losing season in 10 years? And that was despite a team that wasn't always very good.

he was never very good. he get's to 1 NFC championship game and loses to a inferior Falcons team.

Tuna won Super bowls, Marriucci brought the niners franchise back quicker than anyone thought he could.

And Mariucci is all hype. He has never shown any ability to get more out of his players than they feel like giving.

and DENNY green did???

OMG talk about underachievers. Look at randy moss. sheesh, don't even talk about randy moss. despite TO's antics at least he played hard every game.

OH ya, and Jeff Garcia vs Daunte Culpepper??

who is the overachiever and who is the underachiever.

He has never shown any ability to get more out of his players than they feel like giving.

puuhhhleease and denny green has?

Give credit to Green for drafting Moss when nobody else would. And for most of his years in MIN they won without any real talent other than Robert Smith and Cris Carter.

Jake (can't remember his last name) was a good WR.

they had a string of decent QB's in Minnesota. they had some good Defensive lineman, (i can't remember year to year).

they always had players

What about Garcia and Culpepper? Garcia's career rating is 89. Culpepper's is 85.

OK, MIN had Jake Reed and a bunch of guys you can't even remember. SF with Mariucci had Jerry Rice, Steve Young, Garrison Hearst, Terrell Owens, Charles Haley, Rod Woodson, and that's just who I can recall right now.

you were talking PRE randy moss Vikings and Current 49ers, hmmm. which team will have more players both of us remember. hmmm.

have you ever looked at culpepper and garcia?? culpepper was always SUPPPOSED to be great. Garcia was never SUPPOSED to make it in the leagues. so you qb ratings just goes to prove my point.

Garcia is overachieving and culpepper is underachieving the trademarks of their respective coaches.

And if you want overachieving, look at the 93 Vikes. They were 9-7 despite a QB corps consisting of Jim McMahon, Sean Salisbury, and Gino Torretta. Their leading rusher, who gained a whopping 488 yards, was Scottie Graham.
