All these Raid 0 Raptor tests on the 875 boards use the Intel AA driver yes/no?

You know, the Application Accelerator driver for hard drives that Intel made into a Raid driver for the 875. I know some of the boards dont use Intel's ICH5 thing for Raid, does the 875 board have to be using Intel ICH5 for the AA Raid driver to work?
 
The benefit of ICH5/R is that it doesn't run over the PCI bus, so the burst speeds can go well in excess of 150megabytes/s.
