All these JFK assassination shows...Why is there any doubt?

"Was there really a second gunman?"
"Did Oswald act alone?"
"Was there someone on the grassy knoll?"

Jesus H. Christ, YES THERE WAS SOMEONE. We have a video which clearly, CLEARLY shows JFK being SHOT IN THE FACE. All these people spend time examining audio tapes of police radios and other stuff, then they try and conclude that there was no 2nd gunman. I just don't understand how people can make that assertation with a straight face.

Maybe the second gunman wasn't on the grassy knoll. Maybe he was in a drain, or on the bridge, I don't know. But someone shot JFK in the face from the front, and there isn't any denying that. So what's the problem?

huh? thought he got it in the back of the head... then again, this is one conspiracy theory I have stayed away from! Never really saw the point...

wasn't he sniped?
i don't think it's too far fetched that a really skilled sniper got a clean shot..

You obviously have no idea what an exit wound looks like, do you? The blood exploded from the front of his head because that is where the bullet left his head, leaving a much larger hole than it did when it entered in the back of his head.

The video "clearly" shows no such thing. Stop believing Oliver Stone's twisted fairy tales.

yup seeing the video clearly shows him being shot in the front of the head....but I agree, why worry about the second gunman....from my point of view there was only one shot to the front....even "if" there was 2 people only one fired so who cares.

Another one who has no idea what an exit wound is.

Sorry amused, but you obviously have no idea how momentum works. Why would a shot to the back of the head propel his head backwards, as is CLEARLY shown in the video? Yes, he was shot from the front.

sorry im with triumph on this.....not only the momentum but the witnesses who seen brain matter and the back of his head blow out....gun shots arent dyslexic...a bullet hits from the front blows out the back...to me that seems the way exit wounds work

More Oliver Stone fantasy work. People being thrown by the force of a bullet is Hollywood fantasy. It doesn't happen in real live. In real life the person stays standing, or simply slumps to the ground. In the case of head shots or spinal shots, they flinch in a way determined by what part of the brain was damaged. Often, when you shoot something, the force of the exit blast will propel it back-wards. Also, his reaction was just that, A REACTION. His brain just suffered massive trauma and a random twitch one way or another is to be expected.

Don't believe me? Go shoot some pigs with a rifle and tell me if they are thrown in exactly the same direction from which the bullet came. 9 times out of ten, they wont be thrown at all... the will simply slump down, or twitch in random directions.

There's one thing wrong with your argument, Amused.... I've never seen Oliver Stone's film.

As I've seen many times, the doubt always comes from people whose opinion that Oswald acted alone is unshakeable.

I don't care which direction Kennedy got shot from, I just wish I was the world's greatest sharpshooter like Oswald was...

So what? He simply parroted the same conspiracy theory that is so popular else where. Only he did it with an annoying ten minute monologue of Kevin Costner repeating "back, and to the left" over and over and over again.

The problem with your pig argument is one of physics. A pig's mass is very centrally located, compared to a human. Shoot a pig in the head, and it won't have enough punch to spin the pig in any direction due to a short moment arm and relatively small mass of its head compared to the body. Now shoot a human standing, or even sitting, and you have a much longer moment arm from the center of mass of the body, and the weight is more evenly distributed. Also consider that the video shows JFK leaning forward just before the fatal head wound. I have a very, very hard time that his reaction is due to convulsions.

Amused seems confused , although I have always respected his intelligence I have to respectfully disagree with his point of view here. I do understand exit wounds and no matter how many times I watch the video there is no way I can accept that the bullet entered from the rear of the head. The back of the skull cap blowing off and onto the trunk of the vehicle could not result from an entrance wound from the back and up......no way. I have shot many many animals in my hunting life and I have never had one that moved through relfex towards the path of the bullet, that is purely absurd crap.

Because you have a Hollywood induced reality of what happens when a person is shot.

As well as my engineering degree, which tells me that physics rules all.

Umm....no I don't. I never believe most of the crap I see in movies. I do understand physics and the human body though. You can believe what ever you NEED to in order to justify what you want to think happened but that does not make it the truth. I don't KNOW what happened on that day, and I can't make any certain statements about it but I am not convinced that what the Warren Conission reported is the truth. The "majic bullet theory" alone is enough to make any rational human being disbelieve anything they reported.

I give you that. He is probably the best of the bunch.

Bingo. That is the response I wanted. The intitial posts claimed they KNEW there was a second gunman and that the video clearly shows this. I say that simply is not true. One CANNOT know because there is no convincing evidence EITHER way.

I say second gunman only because it's a common term. Perhaps there was only 1 gunman. Perhaps there were 3. But the laws of physics are what they are, and that man was shot from the front.
