Surprisingly this does NOT include the final fantasy games.

I guess cuz they were marked down on debut.

However its all the other Windows titles. I dont care much for Just Cause, but hitman is good. And they purchased the rights to Deus Ex of course. If for some sick reason you still havent played it, I recommend picking it up for less than 2 dollars.

Has anyone here something to say about Sleeping Dogs?
It looks interesting.

I liked it for the most part; decent story and the combat can be pretty fun at times. I hated all of the driving tasks though and I finished the game with almost all of the driving stuff, except for the mandatory parts, left over. Overall it was worth whatever price I paid for it though.

Edit: this was my post on it:

Sleeping Dogs - 7.5/10: I actually really enjoyed the game for the most part, but a there were a few things I did not like. The driving tasks and the races are the biggest one; I just found them very annoying and boring. After that, the combat; you acquire all of these cool moves along the way, but really I just spent the whole time surrounded by dudes, waiting for one of them to glow red, then countering with a couple of hits (if you do more, then you are open to attack by another dude). It gets pretty repetitive, though I did enjoy the environmental attacks.

I also wish there was a way to properly pursue the chick storylines; you only get to interact with them at specific points in the overall timeline and you can't really call them (I wanted to do more with Not Ping, but nothing came up).

I was looking at the DLC, but the only one that is worthwhile seems to be $6.99 which is a bit rich for my blood. Hopefully there will be a sale at some point.

Its great. Although unlike Keith I enjoyed the driving parts of the game and wish there were more of them. I did all the races and whatnot. The fighting also gets very easy once you get a few combo moves, but its a bit difficult in the beginning.

I played it without any of the DLCs and it was still extremely enjoyable.

Hmm think I'm going to pick up Dungeon Siege pack and Human Revolution.

I am of the opinion that DS 1 is the only good of the 3.
But all are decent in a way.

Also, I am not liking Sleeping Dogs. Its like the worst parts of Final Fight with quick time events added in to make it more annoying.
Suspect they want me to use a controller.
Am getting stomped during the hazing procedure. At what point it is an open game?

The combat is actually pretty simplistic; like I said above, just wait for the glowing dude and hit counter, then wait for the next next glowing dude, rinse, repeat until you get enough hits into all of them and they die.

VII and VIII now have a 33% discount according to an email alert I got a few minutes ago. I am tempted.

I just saw that.

Liked FF7 and its nice they got it working on modern Windows.
I dislike FF8 but for the money it might be nice to go back and try again.

I got it for free when it was on PS+ and I thought it was mediocre. So I probably would not buy even at $10.

It feels very much like a GTA clone. The melee gameplay is much better than GTA, but felt kind of like an overly simplified Arkham Asylum/City clone. Shooting is similar to GTA (which is to say, poor). Driving is also similar to GTA (which I found to be good enough, I'm not big into the nuances of driving mechanics in these kinds of games).

Voice acting is good. Story is on par with a typical B action film.

How is DE: Invisible War? That's the only one I've never played.

And WOW. Batman Arkham Origins is $10 that dropped uber fast....is it that bad?

Take everything you loved about Deus Ex and Deus Ex: Human Revolution and then throw it out the window - Invisible War was really simplified and not up to par with the first and third game. If you can pick it up for a couple of bucks, then it's worth a play through.

Batman Arkham Origins is a very good game, not ground breaking, but I had a helluva good time with it. Easily worth ten!

holy cow, forgot I purchased Last Remnant a while back.

Installed, didnt like. Pretty much everything I hate about japanese console games is right here. Clunky interface, annoying controls, 1 dimensional characters, boring storyline (thats forced on you with an insane number of cutscenes), way too much WAAAA!!! and not enough actual gameplay.

In fact it feels like a failed version of Final Fantasy, like they were going to call this FF15 or something but decided it wasnt quite good enough and slapped another name on it at the last minute.

DE: Invisible War isn't as bad as some people say it is. Sure, comparing it to the other two Deus Ex games it is an inferior product, but its still an ok game. Worth the money imo.

Sleeping Dogs is one of the best gta clones, mixing in a gta4ish 3d engine that is FAST and using a batman like hand to hand combat system with little reliance on guns (after all, gun control).

And if you dig the asian culture even a little you will love the atmosphere.

The Last Remnant is unfortunately forgettable. It was nice seeing high visuals in a final fantasy MMO (I think it was out well before ff13) but it was pretty standard j-rpg affair.

Does FF7 for PC support the 360 controller?

It supports all controllers as generic USB devices. But if you mean it auto maps the buttons and has the button icons in game, no.

They changed absolutely nothing from the original disc release. All they did was fix the executable to work in modern OS's. Given the apparent lack of effort they put into it, I'm surprised they didnt do it years ago.

For FF8 they added support for higher resolutions. But it only affects the 3D stuff. And it looks weird having the original low-res 2D backgrounds merged with it.
