Strange...my computer is making worrysome noises! Like "Chatter chatter...click click" and "Vrrrrrrrrrrr". Where are they coming from???

...oh...

Now that there is no more WBK38 on my CPU with the fan trying to compete with the Airport across the street (and Winning!) I suddenly can hear the sound of the Hard drive chattering and the (now) very distracting and noisy powersupply fan. Jeeze, I am never satisfied am I?

I finally pulled the old water system out of its box and put it on my T-bird 850. It used to sit proudly on my K62 550 until I built this system. Tried several heatsinks and the last was the WBK38...which drove me to distraction and the old cooler. The only thing new about the cooler was what I did to the tranny cooler used. I had cut it in half at one time so I layered it and put it to use. Temps are not all that great compared with the Dangerden maze blocks or others. But for an old system designed for the K62 It is doing better than the WBK38 did. And with an aluminum waterblock home drilled to boot. Let's see...$30 for the tranny cooler...$20 for the pump...about $3 for the aluminum block...a $5 120mm fan...a few hose barbs and plastic connectors..$8 for the "tank" and $2 for the hoses. About $70 for peace and quiet. At least until I can replace that "omitted" noisy powersupply fan! Hey, get that jet over here and drown ot the noise will ya? :)

Not too bad I think...

That or get a good pair of closed headphones. ;)

The loudest fan in my system is the Panaflo 120mm. At least it is not as noisy as it was when I did have the Sparkle.
