My story with Sony starts in fall of 1983. I saved up and purchased the
CDP-101 and the thing still works to this day. In the 80's I loved Sony.
The 90's rolled around and after the PS1 heating issue, PS2 disk read errors 3 days after the ps2 was released, and several thousand dollars in Sony optical drives failing I will never purchase another Sony product.
My dads Cineza VPL-HS51A mainboard blew up mid movie after only 2 months and killed the bulb. Sony fixed the unit but made him buy the new 300 dollar lamp.
Sony has lost touch. When I was a kid it was about inovation and pride and Sony was exemplary in this department. Now a days its about the money and however they can get it.
