All software installation hangs or freezes....

either at the start of the installation or at the end. It takes up to 15 minutes for it to unfreeze and complete. This has been happening for awhile and does this to all things intall and also uninstalling. Is this a common problem?
 
You may have some uneeded crap running in the background.
Since you're kinda new and may not know whats what, give us a list of the processes you have running.

You can find them under the Task Manager by hitting control-alt-delete.
