my mother has since she was 16 y/o
i see what it is doing to her 🙁

she has tried to quit 100 times and never managed it. i can see her wheeling an oxygen tank everywhere she goes to help her breathe in the future. 🙁

I know how you feel, my mom started at 13!! She trys so hard to quit but nothing seems to work. I stopped getting on her case about it because I know she wants to stop too but since she's been smoking for so long now it's just in her DNA or something.

I do think smoking in public/infront of non-smoker is a selfish act as nearly all non-smokers hate 2nd hand smoke.

i don't nag my mother to quit either. she knows how i feel, and she also, wishes she didn't smoke.

i do think the tendency towards addiction is hereditary. my sister is a smoker, too.
