not so much for oc but those rigs pull some decent bench scores

OOxJ4p2.jpg

my old rig with
fx 8350
Hd 6870 x2 + hd 6870 tri fire

3dmark 11: x4107 p10457

sadly enough that fx was never really stable, not even at stock clock, even though i got it to run 3dmark11 at 4500MHz

DBeOMCg.jpg

my old monitor stetup
the small one in the middle on top is run by a laptop for tv and streaming

MunWTZJ.jpg

my new setup with

xeon e3 1230 v3 @ 3700MHz boost on all cores (enabled by msi z87 gd 65 uefi 1.2)

gtx 770

reodiuJ.jpg

now with second gtx 770 for sli

3dmark11: x6965 p16772

j1nP4os.jpg

new 21:9 2560x1080 monitor
i run it with downsampling from 3200x1350

the fx 8350 setup is somewhat inoperative right now, but i already got me an additional case and psu and its reassembled, i only have to reinstall everything
gonna go with win 8.1 on that one for the first time
maybe i´m gonna get me a r9 290 for that when the custom cooled ones are out and i got my christmas bonus
that card should be awesome for the three monitors as it was already quite good on the 6870s and those have only one gig of vram

BqIfkkh.jpg

so this is what the fx 8350 rig looked like when i built it in 2011, even though it was phenom ii x4 965be then
custom built case made of aluminum profiles and acrylic
it was my first build ever, even though i have always had computers and consoles since the early 90´s (counting c64 its late 80´s)
just never put one together myself

4Xt7aVT.jpg

i built this mini pc for my sister around the phenom ii x4 when i got the fx 8350

this is a case i am currently working on

That's a pretty sweet setup and I really like the paint job lol. In the process of building an FX-8350 machine myself. Thanks for the pics!

Should have put a bleeder/fill valve up top with the handle, and added a few barbs/pumps so you could use all that piping for water cooling.

Heck yeah, that would be neat to circulate coolant through those copper pipes. I bet they would dissipate some heat, on top of what the radiator(s) do. But I guess you would need to make sure your water pump(s) were up to the task of pumping through the additional length of pipes.

An idea like that could lead to a PC that is the watercooling! If it hasn't been done yet? The framework is the tubing and the panels are rads with Filters with maybe exterior panels with spacing inbetween for fans to be attached to the rads, vents at the bottom of the case to draw in coolest air or gills/vents on the sides.. also Bleeder and Valves fittings of various sizes..

this time on the 770 sli

see, i built the triple stand myself with aluminum profiles that my employer kindly gave me for free
if you want to buy something like that it´s about 300€/$

got me a r9 270x for the amd system, that one is on the 2560x1080 monitor now

fohqzXD.jpg

it performs about equally compared to the 3hd 6870s but with only about 1/3wattage
also it doesn´t run out of memory at 1GB
so in real games it´s much better

i´ve liked depeche mode since i was 10 years old and my sister (4 years older) was a serious fan back in the 80´s
she was listening to that all the time (vinyl records, still standard then) and i was hanging around with her in her room
some years later i re discoverded it for myself
the poster is original from the 80´s, look at how young they are

how can i quote several posts in one post?
this is not right, i know
it´s a waste of space and like cheating with the nr. of posts count...

nice
where does one even get the liquid nitrogen?
how long is it stable/storeable?
how much does a can cost, that is good for say 2hrs of overclocking?

This is from a couple weeks back when I finally put everything together. I plan on changing a lot (I'm replacing the 10" single fan with 4x200mm fans, rerouting some tubing, and want to change the case/motherboard soon).

interesting radiator
the way the water is split up into 9 branches
most cooler have more like a zig zag kind of back and forth pattern, don´t they?

It is really an automotive cooler. I was planning on using an old oil cooler I had laying around originally, but decided to see what I could find cheap on Ebay before I cleaned the used one up. I found these for under $50, already has 3/8" barbs and is plenty large, so I figured I'd give it a go. I'm sure there are better coolers out there, but I don't know how much better you can do for sub-$50.

Some sweet looking rigs and the harem of monitors is drool worthy.

Here is the rig in my sig.

My old watercooled system with a QX6700@3.5GHz and 8800 GTX from 5 yrs ago.

Very nice type "A" personality showing off here!!! Kudos.

This was years ago, but I was overclocking so hard that my case couldn't handle it. Instead of getting a new case, I busted out the power tools and made new fan openings to double the airflow:
