If it was up to me I'd pull my water cooling stuff out of the closet next to me.

However I am no longer the boss of me.

I do what I'm told, or get the hose again :(

this is why i tell people u set a budget.. then ADD 40% of it.
Because u end up buying it.. and u dont stop because u bought excess.

Also... the scary thing about water is its TOO addictive.
You first do it for performance... then you realize u can get lower noise...
Then you realize u can get performance + noise + bling... then you realize u need to buy it all over again because u did a platform upgrade.

I bought all the parts for a custom loop for like 40$ probably 5-8 years ago (CPU block res pump rad fans tubes fluid). Finally got around to using them a few days ago on a hand me down X3 720BE. Still can't get the chip stable at any voltage...though my temps went from 60c to under 40c and sound levels probably tripled (push pull 120mm rad make tons of noise).

I might care more if the GPU wasn't broke as well (4850 512MB crashes randomly at desktop, let alone any actual program). I'm hoping the setup springs a leak and fries everything so I can claim insurance. I really want to upgrade from my 2.4GHz dual core w/ 8800GTS 320MB.

Budget isn't a concern per se, I just like to see value in things before I purchase them.

Now I feel bad and it's all EliteRetard's fault, here I am debating if I should get a used 460 off a user here, or wait for the $90 GTX 650 Ti's to come back in stock just for the luxury of physx...

So I'm not doing to bad.

Looked like crap, but it worked good for the money, haha.

I love your ghetto setup. Seriously. One of my fondest memories is my brother and I freezing in a little room in the middle of winter in Utah with the window open trying to hit higher clocks on his unlocked 6800NU. Fans blasting everywhere and teeth chattering but loving every minute.

If it was up to me I'd pull my water cooling stuff out of the closet next to me.

So true. Wouldn't want to be single again for anything but nerdy computer projects now require supervisor approval.

My watercooling parts are all reused as well. My ASRock board happens to have both 775 and 1155 mounting holes, and I'm using the same block on my 3570K and 7850 as were on my Q6600 and HD4870. The elbows and T line are closer to 11 years old, was using them with my first loop on my Athlon XP.

The fans (Yate Loons) I got in bulk for about $3 per fan with free shipping.

ghetto setup

My thoughts exactly

Indeed, before I moved the rads outside (before the baby) I would freeze my butt off some nights benching, and I'd often be heard running a blow dryer in the middle of the night thawing out the lines because they froze up :p

Nice job killing the thread with your single video card system, gosh face2face!

I've seen your rig many times now, still enjoy the black/white ascetics and the skyrim marker.

Some pics when I first built my current "main" rig over a year ago.
Only real difference now is I'm running a pair of Sapphire 7950's in X-fire as opposed to the 6950's in the pics.

2600k@4.7ghz
16gb G-skill DDR3
Asus P8Z68-V Pro
2x Sapphire 7950's
Corsair HX 850 psu
COOLER MASTER HAF X Blue Edition case
Intel SSD / WD Black HDD's

Here's an OC Build from over the weekend , not quite as extravagant as some of the recent executive builds Ive landed but considering this is for a 16 year on a budget who pretty much just plays Dota2 I would say it is overkill.

Teens Rig: 3570K @4.5Ghz 1.29v / Asrock extreme 4 / Gigabyte GTX 670 / Adata XPG 256GB SSD / Seagate 2TB / 16GB Corsair XMS3 Vengeance / Corsair H70 / Coolermaster HAF 912.

I know right, shame on me  I am getting sick of seeing my PC in these forums, almost time for another build.. No....not really....

I really like the clean black and white contrast as well. Nice change from the traditional all black cases.

Thanks!

i was in the middle of designing my desk.
Really loved the idea of having your desk as the PC...

Even had CAD designs and sorts on a future project i was gonna attempt....

HOWEVER...
Then i realized one day i will have a BOX to rule them all. <3 Server Racks...

Lately... i know of a lot of people who want a fully populated server Rack, to have the ONE box that rules them all!!

The Ultimate dream  could fit a beer rack in there as well and it would be perfect!
