All right, trying this again . . . the underclocking of Venezuela

I saw that article this morning. It sounds like the generators are running at 59.x hz. (I'm not taking the time to do the math).

We had that problem at work with an old RUPS system. Our Perkin Elmer computers use the line frequency to keep their internal time. The RUPS was putting out 59.5 hz or so. Long time delays were getting skewed.
 
Can't you see this is all the US's fault? Time is a finite resource, and those damn Americans are using more than their fair share!
