I screwed the other post and I wanted to delete. Sorry.

I want to buy an ALL Region DVD player.
Do you have one? which one? do you like it?

What would you recommend that I buy? Something decent + good quality.
No more than $200.

Thank you.

not much out there these days comes from the factory region unlocked...the philips player might. I bought a Lite-On 2001 back when, and also have a firmware-flashed Denon DVD-3910 which does region free. you could always combine DVD-player comparisons to dvdhelp.org's list of "hackable" players.

Read my post in your other thread. Region Free and All Region are usually the same effectively. As I mentioned, you can't buy a DVD player in the US that's All-region or region free out of the box, but several have hidden menus to change the region setting. You can set it to 0 to disable the region check, or set it to whatever Region the DVD needs. Works out kinda the same.

I had a CyberHome CH-300 which worked pretty good, except it would "stretch" PAL 16:9 video on my TV. Apparantly this only happens when it's hooked up to 4:3 TVs, so if you have an HDTV you'll be good.

Anyway, check the videohelp.com DVD Hack list. It'll help you.

I guess I am those few lucky ones with a dvd region free dvd player. It kicks ass. Plays chinese imports. Plays about anything i give it.

Of course there's also the ultimate in region-free: A modded XBox. Costs about $200 if you get a used or refurbished system from somewhere like GameStop, possibly less.
