does anyone know the min kind of invertor I need to use a laptop on a plane? ( i know I also need an adaptor)

These inverters take 12V (like from your car) and then invert to 120VAC to power home appliances.

Can you get 12VDC on a plane? If so, then the size of the inverter in Watts should meet or exceed the wattage of the laptop you are powering. You should be able to ascertain the wattage of your laptop by the label on the power supply.

Most cheap inverters use a "modified" waveform that is square and can damage sensitive electronic gear.

Better check it out before you buy.
