I don't what happened the other day between installing a refrigerator or splitting my cable line between my MCE pc and a regular TV, but all of a suddent I can't get anything clear on my Hauppauge 500MCE.
I've tried:
- Moving fridge to other side of room
- disconnecting regular TV
- adding signal amplifier from RadioShack
- moving PC to use shorter cable
- switching PCI slots
- reinstalling drivers
....I'm at a loss. Is there a way that a power spike could have surged through the cable line and fried my tuner (though it doesn't smell fried)? Besides, wouldn't that totally kill the card, not just make a fuzzy signal?
Signal to the TV is perfectly fine. Cable line to the PC is probably 25' long but, like I said, I used a booster...and it had been working perfectly fine before.
