All NCAA pools are screwed if BYU makes the sweet 16

BYU does not play games on sunday but the brilliant committee put them in a bracket that plays games on sundays instead of in the midwest or west which dont...so

if BYU were to win its first two games, the Cougars would then move from the South Region to the Midwest Region. In that scenario, BYU would switch places with the team that reached the Sweet 16 from the Midwest (either Wisconsin, Weber State, Dayton, or Tulsa).

thats gonna screw up a lot of people

BYU isn't going to beat Uconn. and if they do...they'd probably face Stanford. sorry. they are never going to win both of those games.

IF they did...this is pretty dumb. As far as i'm concerned, if you can't play on the day your scheduled, you forfeit.

/puts on the flame-resistant suit.

I agree. The schools get paid tons of money to play these games and sponsorship. They should play their games like everyone else has to.

With that said, I highly doubt they get past Staford or UCON for that matter.

That'd be descrimination based on religion 😉

They've changed their position on it. They'll just change the dates of the games, not swap brackets.

IMO, BYU has an OK chance to beat UCONN and an even better chance at Stanford, from what I've been reading today.

amish

Can't they just go to church before or after their game?

Oh, and they'll never have to worry about playing on Sunday because they are not getting past the 1st round! 😉

The committee always scheduled it so it wouldn't be an issue. I respect their religous beliefs, theres no reason they have to play the games on Sunday when there are games scheduled for Saturday. I think the brackets for this year are wack, the west is loaded and Kentucky has an easy path to the finals. If there aren't any upsets the whole comittee is going to be in trouble when the two wildcat teams meet before the finals...

Not really. It would be their choice. why should the NCAA tourney make changes to accomidate BYU?

Why shouldn't they? If it was against a certain girls school's religion to play with shirts on, would you be complaining?

but that isn't the case, is it?

I just don't think the NCAA should have to restructure a tournament based on a schools religious beliefs. Making an exception for one school isn't the right way to do things IMO.

But, as Amish said...they've changed it anyway...so it doesn't matter.
