ALL Nascar Fans, Please Read! Get back free stats on NASCAR.COM!

To: NASCAR fans
This petition is to convince the money grubbing NASCAR/Turner Networks to agree to give BACK to the fans who give them SO MUCH. They have just recently removed the ability to FREELY listen to MRN broadcasts of races on the Internet, receive live timing and scoring, and view video clips. This feature has been free for years, but was announced just days before this years' Daytona 500 they're going to charge you for something that doesn't cost them a dime. Yes, that's right, NBC and NASCAR, whom both have plenty of money, are going to charge you the fan for something you should receive for free (and most racing series do so for free as well).

This was a link to sign a petition to keep nascar internet broadcasts free, but after signing it, I got an email asking me to donate $1.00 to the host of the site.
So I removed the link.

I'd help ya out, but when a race is on I'm glued to the TV. Not much stats to check out that they don't give you there. As far as listening to it goes, I haven't been in a city yet where you couldn't find MRN on the radio.

WHile yes it sucks that now you have to pay, I have no problem with them charging. It costs money to maintain thoose sites and to stream the radio broadcast. I did pay for the MLB package last year and listened to quite a few games, I will probly do that again this year. The simple fact is that this does cost them money to produce and if it can't generate the revenue to offset the cost you will either have to pay of lose it all together. Kinda like the subscription to anandtech, Yes it had been free but without added revenue the forums would die finacially.
