Although I'm one that really is against reparations for slavery, something that Larry King said during the "25th Anniversary of Roots" Special said stuck in my mind:

"For those whites that feel that they have nothing to do with slavery b/c it happened a long time ago and they had no control over it and wonder why should they take credit for it..."
"...Have no right to claim credit for their ancestors fighting in WWI, WWII, Civil War, etc. You have to take the good with the bad"
