all in wonder to tv???? Please HELP!!!

I have a ati 8500 all in wonder dv and i have it hooked to my tv. For some reason it will display my desktop fine but for some reason when i try to watch windows media player the picture for the video turns black. Does anybody know what is wrong or what i should try??? The video plays on the computer monitor but when you try to view it on the tv it just shows a black space where the video should be. Somebody please help

Dude, I'm having this exact same problem! I can see everything on the TV but the minute I try to play a video it just goes black. I wonder if Windows Media Player has anything to do with it...I've got 9 what version do you have? I'm gonna try and download Media Player Classic and see if that makes a difference.

Edit:

I just downloaded media player classic and all the codecs and it still doesn't work. The video is playing fine right now on my monitor but the tv is just diplaying a black box....maybe it's got something to do with the latest drivers or something hokey with XP....I'll keep investigating
