Am looking for an all-in-one printer for the wife..! Does anyone have opinions about Brother printers in general and specifically Brother's MFC-210C Printer? It's available for $90 on Amazon and that fits my $100 budget just nice...

Also, can u please suggest good all-in-ones within my budget if there are any..?

Thanks!

You could check out Dell's printers. Lexmark is known for printers and you should eb able to find one in your budget.

I have an Epson CX5400 that I like a lot. Comes with a robust software package too.

Has four separate ink carts, so that helps a little with ink prices. I've had it about...6 months now and have had zero problems with it. It does everything but fax.

Linkage.

shall check them out.. do u have any specific model in mind?

EDIT: checked lexmark all-in-ones.. turns out the brothers print quality is much higher than lexmarks.. ( within models in my budget ).... Lexmark = 4800x1200 while brother is 6000x1200

thanks much ..

Hmm. OK, it would blow your budget by like $50 (less if there's a rebate involved) but I believe that you get what you pay for. If you buy a cheapie all in one, that's what you're going to get. ;) Good luck w/it though. :)

Someone told me that the problem with Epson printers/all-in-ones are that the HEADS ( where u fit the ink catridges or somethin ) get spoilt very soon and need to be replaced..> These heads are apparently expensive.. is this true?

I don't know what TO get but I know what NOT to get. I had an HP PSC1210 that just stopped working after a year. No reason what so ever, just wouldn't turn on anymore. I replaced it with an Epson RX500 that is AWSOME, but very out of your price range ($149 after $80 of rebates).
