All-in-One Surround Sound/Bluray: Half speakers don't work.

I own a Samsung BD-1500 and only the front speakers seem to be working. I have the BD-1500 plugged into the television and everything (HTPC, Xbox, DVR) runs through the Auxillery input (running in "Movie" function, other functions have little effect on the loudness of the rear speakers). The back speakers are usually quiet when watching programs on the DVR, and completely silent when running through the HTPC (connected via HDMI and maximum speaker capacity according to the PC is 2.1).

Is there a way to "Stereo X2" the speakers so the exact same audio plays out the back as does the front? I do not have the means to buy more stuff to make this system operate more smoothly and want to get it to at least partially work.

Without knowing what samsung actually calls their specific setups, 2.1 will only go through the left/right front speakers and sub. The rears only put out surround effects, not what the front speakers do if in dolby/dts or other surround modes. What you want is 5/7 channel stereo mode, but I dont know if your receiver supports that.

I did look at the manual a few days ago and learned nothing from looking under the audio section.

5/7 sounds a lot more interesting than only half of my speakers even working. Though I guess I don't know if it supports 5/7 and how I would get that to even work.
