All-In-One printer for $250?

I am looking for a printer that can print good pictures and words, but I have not entirely decided on an all-in-one. I have the room for individual devices, so is there really any advantage to all-in-ones? If so, which one would be the best for $250? If not, what is the best printer for about $150-175 and who makes good scanners?
