All in one (print/scan/fax/copy) + Printer server adapter = shared scanner?

I want to buy a printer server adapter so I can keep the all-in-one Printer/scanner/Fax shared on the network at home. So I will have a shared printer as that's what printer server adapter is for. But I am wondering with my all in 1 machine(printer, scanner and fax machine in one), will I be able to share the scanner on it? Any input is appreciiated, thanks.
