All in One Laser Printer - Need Suggestions

Have a Panasonic KX-MB271 that is giving me a low drum message. Can pay $90 and get a new drum.
Also considering buying a new all in one (black ink printer/scanner/fax/copier) as have had problem finding toner for it locally and toner for it is expensive. Is there one out now where adding generic toner refill is easy and the drum lasts a long time (or is not a issue for future replacement).
Wanting a printer that will last.

Brother mfc-7840w. laser copy/fax/scan. 802.11g. It's nice to be able to put it anywhere in my apartment. All it's missing is automatic duplex and color...

I got an Epson WorkForce 610 last summer. Sure, it's inkjet, but re-manufactured cartridges are cheap (read: $5 each from SwiftInk). Also prints really fast, wireless scanning and printing....

Keep an eye for laser printers on slickdeals.net ... it's not that hard to get a pretty decent AIO laser printer for $100-$150 if you look around and wait a bit as they show up quite often on these deal sites.

PS: you might want to check this out as well if you can't wait and your budget allows it http://www.officemax.com/home/custom.jsp?id=m6510450

Just bought
this a few days ago
Combine it with a $25 off of $100 (or a $30 off of $150 if you get something else) and it comes out to about $80 after tax (if you pay that in your state).

Only had it for a few days, but it seems perfectly nice for my purposes. After market toner is dirt cheap too (like $15 for a 2500 page one). Hope this helps

I went with the Brother 8480DN instead. 32ppm, higher duty cycle and duplexing. Plus it can take the 8k toner. Doesn't hurt it was on sale for like 120 off 😛

I decided against the colour ones since the toners are chipped and more expensive. And I don't really need to print colour.

cheap third party toners and drum kit is a huge plus.

Don't buy Samsung. I've had two and they were inferior to the Canon that I'm using now.

(Yes, I was dumb enough to buy a second Samsung.)

Canon MX870 (wifi inkjet with duplex print/scan AIO) with ink that is dirt cheap, usually $1-2 for ink cartridge on Amazon or the 12 pack for 10$ at supermedia store.

Be sure to read up on replacement toners. Samsung has been releasing firmware updates that eliminate the ability to use aftermarket toners. Not all Samsungs are this way, but I've been looking for an AIO laser and have passed up a few because of this.

The biggest issues I had with the Samsungs were:
-High power draw that causes lights to dim and UPS to beep. This does not happen with the Canon.
-Long warm-up time. (Canon much faster)
-Printed material would smudge (I used 'genuine' Samsung toner)
-Flimsy trays/racks/etc.

Of course, the Samsungs are typically cheaper.

This is the Canon I have:

It goes on sale occasionally for under $150. Newer model has replaced it.
