All in one Communication problem

All communications except printing between Gateway E-4200 and HP psc 950 all in one are non-functional

Two error messages in the system tray state HP device is disconnected
But all USB and fax cables are connected


Software reinstall did not work


Please assist

Are you referring to file sharing and internet? Please be a little more specific.

The Scanner, Photo Upload, and Save to PC functions on the printer are all not working
nothing to do with file sharing or the web


the Computer
or printer
(not sure which it is)
is not reconizing the other on most functions
the only thing that works is incoming fax and printing

Sorry, I didn't read your message right. For my HP 2510 all in 1, the software is really lacking as far as the advanced functions. But they do have an updated one, so check the HP site for any updates. But this is what really got mine to work. Assign the printer, either through the router or the printer's web interface, preferrably the web interface, a permanent IP address, like 192.168.0.15, or something. Now go to control panel, Printers, HP whatever properties, ports, edit ports, add new port, standard IP port, and put in the top box whatever the IP was that you chose. The bottom will fill itself out, don't touch it. Then finish the process, and it will probably work lots better. Hope this helps.
