Of course, why do you think the majority of the planet's population lives outside of the US?

Do you remember why Denmark was better?Originally posted by: QED
20/20 I think ran a recent show detailing the "happiest places" in the world to live.
Denmark, I believe, was top on the list. The US was middle of the road.

Interesting that most of the top rated nations are in a cold climate.Originally posted by: Dimmu

Were they possibly talking about the United Nation's Human Development Index? The US is currently listed as number 12 in the world. Linky

Cuz I'd like to be able to chill after work with a nice doobie and not get hounded by police?
I mean, have you ever met a mean smoker? Shiet, smokers are the most chill people on earth.
So if I decided to live there I would be considered as strife?Originally posted by: QED

The whole review was based around surveys done asking people of various nations what they liked and disliked about their country, how happy they are, how stressed they are, and how hopeful/concerned they are for the future.
Denmark ranked high, according to the study, because everything is highly socialized-- so most people do what they enjoy and/or interests them for a living as opposed to working long hours at jobs they hate. There is little crime. Apprication for the arts and culture is very high. There is very little political strife. People are generally very content with what they have and are not prone to buy things they don't need.
But, perhaps most importantly, Denmark has almost zero diversity--religious, ethnic, or otherwise. This means less differences of opinion, less strife, etc.
