Ok,all cats have odd habits but I swear gray cats are truly strange. If you've got a gray cat check in here please,is your cat different from other cats? Does he/she have a water fetish?

I have a cat with a certain penchant for running water, but he's white and I think half albino.

Yes. IIRC, Russian Blues, their relative breeds and mixes all have affinities for water. Mine certainly does (running water). Mine also fetches like a dog.

He loves us, but he's not affectionate until he reaches a breaking point and goes on a "rub-me" binge. Otherwise he sits and stares and me or my wife (usually hoping we throw a twist-tie for him to chase).

He will also lay flat on his back, legs spread, for all the world to see his jewels (or rather where they used to be).

Oddly enough, I have a gray cat and she does have a water fetish. She will play with her water and the dog's water, splashing it all over the place. Other odd behavior is when she sits at the sliding glass door and scratches at it. She'll get up on her hind legs and claw at it like a dog begging to get out.

We had a black cat that loved water. If you turned the faucet on he'd jump up on the counter and paw at the water. He would also jump into the shower while its running if he was able.

Nothing like the surprise the first time of leaving the door open, turning around, and having a little black cat with you in the shower staring at you.:p

lol, Miss Kitty goes into the shower and sits there by herself,we also have to keep the lid closed on the toilet or she's in there. Vaes filled with flowers? she has to jump up and stick her pawn in the vase to check the water.

that's my point, all gray cats are strange:)

Indeed. At times Milo just goes bat-shit crazy and races around the house for no reason....which always devolves into the other cats chasing him.

His nicknames are:
Czar Milosevich
Grey Devil
Dumbass

Ours does the same thing, she races around at break neck speed,it's like some sort of feline drill routine.

Red calls her Skeeves the cat

I have TWO grey cats, one is a Korat, and the sweetest most affectionate cat ever, very docile. The other is seriously half squirrel and loves to run around and play all day, he's dumb as a rock though.
Divx
Divx and Shadow

You can't really see Divx's tail in either of these shots but, it's about a foot long and extremely bushy like a squirrel.

Both hate water. But for some reason Shadow likes to come hang out with me when I poop.

Our gray is Emerson. He has gotten into the habit of drinking from the bathtub faucet. Yesterday, he got in the shower with me while it was running to get a drink!!! Worse part is that he is teaching our other cat, Bear, to do the same thing. When you walk into the bathroom you have an audience.

This is the 3rd gray I've had in my lifetime and every single one of them had a very unique personality.
Cats and their behaviors have always fascinated me for some reason.

There are some nice looking cats being posted here. I love it when you guys share pics,
thank you,you're brightening my day

I think Milo is a chartreux mix because of his dog-like behavior. He's sturdy but definitely not as "thick" as some of the cats on that page. He could be korat mix...it's really hard to tell (though he looks a lot like the korat on the bottom of that page).

My cat does that too. Sounds like a heard of elephants running around upstairs when she does it.
