All hail the Quattro 4 razor!!!

shiner

Lifer
I've been using a Mach 3 for a little over a year now and it is a great razor. About a week ago I was at the store and noticed the Quattro 4 on sell with a package of 4 refill blades for $12.99. Not a bad price so I bought it. I've been using the 4 since last Friday and I must say I am impressed. Best damn shave I've had in my life. Ok, strike that....the best shave was from this old barber locally that still used a straight blade but he finally died a couple of years back. Anyway....the 4 is smooth as hell to shave with and does an excellent job on my beard....as I sit here at just after 4pm and having shaved at approx 7am I still don't feel any stubble or see my usual 5pm shadow. For a couple of days I really razor geeked out and shaved the left side of my face with the Mach 3 and the right side with the Quattro 4. I could tell a difference and my wife being the ultimate judge could as well. Both do a good job, but the 4 really cuts things close and the shave seems to last longer(if that makes any sense). I've also noticed that I don't nick myself nearly as often as I did with the Mach3. So...I am here to officially proclaim that I'm switching to the Quattro 4 full time as soon as my last two blades for my Mach 3 are used. Mach 3 you served me well....but there is a new sheriff in town.

Just wait until Gilette throws their trump card, the Mach 14!!!

honestly, when's it gonna end? 😛

that's interesting because gillette spent gazillions on the mach 3's technology..

To me.. quattro 4 sounds too much like a bloody Audi !

AJ.

How hard could it be to stick three razor blades on the head instead of one? Throw a little hinge deal in there and you have yourself a mach 3.

When you can shave your entire face in one stroke.

not only that but you can take off the first two layers of your skin. It'll be the closest shave ever.

Lol, when I first saw the commercial for the Quattro 4, it reminded me of the hitch-hiker "There's Something About Marry" and his 7-minute abs 😀

I have been using the quattro 4 for about a month now, and it definately is a better razor than the Mach 3 Turbo. Has a good feel to the handle as well, a little more bulky than the Mach 3, but because of my injuries to my hands, I feel like I can control it better. Fewer nicks and cuts, plus, when I go a few days with out shaving, I don't feel like I am ripping the hair out, i is nice and smooth.

Supposedly they studied the actual angle the blades touch the skin at, the and blades also have special edges, which give you a closer shave, etc. etc, etc.

my shaver of choice has 28 blades - i win, end of thread. of course though, it's electric 😛 just getting used to it though. second day only, and my face hurts like a mofo when i'm done. odd though, because although my face feels irritated, there isn't any visible signs of irritation such as after a harsh shave w/ a blade.

then the competitor will make one that does it in a half a stroke 😛

You guys with this razor must have upper lips about 6 inches high. I can't even use a Mach 3 on my upper lip because it's too frickin big.

Its why Gillette had their "monopoly" on the 3-blade razor for such a long time - its quite hard to refine the blade such that all of them are aligned as to allow for all three edges to cut, and to not cut you up.
