But it's Mars, not the moon

The ChemCam image, although monochrome, reveals some interesting and curiously organic-looking edges on the object… although it could be a bit of something that came loose from the rover itself. Perhaps a bit of plastic wrap or tape from a cable? Or a flake of metal from the back shell?

NASA's car-sized Mars rover, Curiosity, is "finding itself" on the red planet... or at least, that's what it looks like. Over the weekend, engineers at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab discovered something odd in the sand underneath the rover. A small speck of something with a metallic gleam caught their eye, and they fear this might be a part of the rover which fell off. As a result, JPL is now busy taking more pictures of the object and looking at it with more detail.

So will Spiderman get his black costume or will Alkemyst's M3 turn on him and attempt to take over the planet?

They had to drop the heatshield a good distance up, then drop the whole rover/Skycrane assembly out of that, and then there were some more explosive bolts going off to separate the bridle from the rover, and then the Skycrane itself flew off to crash. So it seems to me that there's a bunch of stuff elsewhere that could have come loose at some point. Hopefully that's all it is.

what if its not from the rover?
I'd have to go with this.
