all duallies out there.... vp6? msi ? epox?

Just built a system around a VP6 and two P3700s. Got the 700s to 933 at default voltage. The board seems to be solid.

I have the MSI 694D and the VP6.

If you want reviews on these, go to:

If you want my opinion I like both boards equally but they have different pro's and con's.

I feel the MSI 694D was more overclockable but some people have had better results with the VP6. The MSI board has built in audio, which was nice for me since I just need the bare minimum. The MSI also lets you change the core voltage of each CPU independantly which the VP6 doesn't. I still like the VP6 also because it's an Abit board and it has been rock solid. I was able to run dual 1 GHz chips at 150MHz FSB no problem with Crucial memory. I tried higher settings but didn't bother to tweak enough to work out the bugs. Overclocking a 133FSB chip is not the best use of your dollars anyway. If you want to overclock then get a 100MHz FSB chip.

Hope that helps a little.

Later,
Curt
