All devices are sharing IRQ 11... please explain why

I am having problems (like so many others) with my SoundBlaster Live! on my KG7-RAID motherboard. Before I begin, I am running Windows 2000 SP2 as my OS. I have updated everything possible from video drivers to VIA 4-in-1 (no AGP) and AMD AGP to BIOS. The sounds seems to be "dragging" a bit and when I go into Device Manager I think I may know why. All of my devices are sharing IRQ 11. I realize this is ACPI 'helping' me manage my resources, but is it normal to put everything on 11 when 5, 7, 10 and 12 are free? Right now, six devices are using IRQ 11. Please offer any suggestions that may help me resolve this issue. Thank you.

Anyone know if ACPI handling is the same in Windows XP as 2000? I'm having similar problems with sound and was wondering if I should make the change to Standard PC/APM HAL (following the advise from the FAQ), or wait for XP.

Since they are both based on the same kernel I would assume ACPI handling is the same in both. I am going to do what theFAQ suggested and used the Standard PC/APM HAL with Windows 2000 but I am wondering what the drawbacks of doing this are?
