Geez, you people go through a lot of processors. I've been a hardcore pc gamer since the 486 days and here's my small list...

486 dx2 50 mhz
pentium 60 overdrive (overclocked to 83 mhz for my first overclocking experience)
pentium 233 mmx (overclocked to 240 or 250, can't remember which)
pentium 2 400 (overclocked to 500)
pentium 3 800 (served me well during the drought of good pc games until the great games recently)
athlon 64 3200 winchester (overclocked to 2500) my first amd and I'm quite pleased with it

Hmm, not so many. I had

Intel Pentium / 90 MHz
AMD K6-2 / 300 MHz
AMD K6-III / 400 MHz
AMD Athlon XP 1700+ / 1466 MHz

That's all. Probably I'll replace my Palomino-core-XP with a Barton-core-XP. Depends on the price.

Good luck with that 3000! Don't be too disappointed if you don't hit 2600 mhz though, I can only manage 2550 with my 3200 winchester with a zalman 7000 alcu.

Thanks on that. Actually it's a 754 chip so I don't plan on getting some monster #'s. Seller said 2.2ghz at least...although I think I might squeeze a little more out but for $115 shipped how can I turn that down :).
